In NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Services), a dynamic team works together to solve crimes related to the Navy. The team is headed by Leroy Gethro Gibbs, a man who has a haunted past and a knack for leadership. Other members of the investigative unit include Anthony Dinozzo, a lady's man who got his start on a police force, Timothy McGee, a computer nerd and Ziva David, a former Massad Operative. Abby Sciuto is the team's caffeine-addicted forensic specialist, capable of identifying which tree a pine cone came from and other minute details that help solve cases. Dr. Donald Mallard, aka "Ducky", is the medical examiner and forensic psychologist, who's known for talking to his patients, even though they can't respond. Ducky also has an assistant, Jimmy Palmer, who provides some comic relief. Together, this team solves the cases that befall them as they determine who's behind the murder plots to bring them to justice while simultaneously developing a bond with one another that's both unbreakable and heartening.
