Former Marine Corps veteran Brian Brown-Easley tries to cope with financial concerns and PTSD as he desperately tries to acclimate back into civilian life. Once Easley feels his back is against the wall with the possibility of his daughter becoming homeless, the struggling veteran decides to hold a Wells Fargo bank hostage in an attempt to get payment benefits from the Veterans Administration.
Along with Easley, the bank employees, a reporter and a hostage negotiator also wrestle with the emotional turmoil of the situation.
