After finally getting the girl he likes, teenage skateboarder Sam is overjoyed. But troubles arise when she becomes pregnant with his child. Sam must face the emotional baggage from his neglectful father and the increasingly strained relationship with his mother and girlfriend. On top of everything else, financial pressures motivate Sam to make some questionable choices that leave him emotionally and physically damaged as he navigates his newfound adult responsibilities.
