In The Equalizer, Robyn McCall is a former CIA operative who uses her extensive skills to help people who have nowhere else to turn. She tells everyone she's a charity worker who quit her job to spend more time with het teenage daughter. In reality, McCall quit the CIA because she found herself involved in unethical, illegal covert operations. She often battles with government agencies to help her clients. McCall is assisted by friends, a skilled computer hacker and a sharpshooter.
