In Cry Macho, a former one-hit-wonder rodeo star and failed horse breeder takes on a job to save his former boss's son from the alcoholic grandmother and return him home. On their journey from Mexico to Texas, the protagonist finds redemption in instilling quality values in the young boy, teaching and showing him what it takes to be a good man as they make their trek across the border.
