Galactic hero Captain Max Cloud crash lands his ship on a world known as Planet Heinous, which is the location of a massive intergalactic prison. A teenager named Sarah has a home life that she hates. She spends a lot of her time playing her favorite 16-bit character video game about Max Cloud fighting his way through the prison. When Sarah accidentally gets sucked into the game, she discovers that she has transformed into Cloud's faithful, male sidekick. The only way back to her own body is to help the captain and his allies win the game by fighting increasingly powerful villains. Yet, Sarah still needs a real world player to take over the game controller...
