In a spin-off of "The Walking Dead," a dysfunctional family including high school counselor Madison Clark, her fiance English teacher Travis Manawa, Madison's daughter Alicia, Madison's drug-addicted son Nick, Travis' son from a previous marriage Chris, and Chris' mother Liza, among others, live in the zombie apocalypse. In this cruel new world, they must learn what it takes to survive in it.
