A teen girl goes missing in a Midwestern small town, the latest in a string of mysterious disappearances. Retired police officer James Lasombra, traumatized by the loss of his wife and child, takes up the challenge of finding the missing teen as rumors swirl of a legendary supernatural figure called the Empty Man. To continue his quest, Lasombra must enlist the help of a shadowy group trying to summon the Empty Man.
