Siobhan, a marine biologist, is out at sea in the vast Atlantic ocean working on a research project for her degree. The crew and her don't get along well - she struggles not only with the isolation of her week at sea, but also the water-dwelling monster that attacks the ship. She and the crew, who is suddenly stricken ill with a strange sickness, must work together to survive their adventure.
