Clark Kent, born Kal-El of Krypton, leaves the farm where his human parents raised him to try to make it on his own in nearby Metropolis as an intern at the Daily Planet. While living in the big city, Clark soon learns that he can't hide his true nature from the world for much longer. The deadly bounty hunter Lobo arrives along with the metahuman Parasite. The two figures care little about harming humanity and soon wreak havoc everywhere they go. Clark must learn how to balance one life at the Daily Planet as a mild-mannered intern with another life as a super hero.
