An accident with a particle accelerator causes an unnatural storm over Central City. Barry Allen, a forensic scientist for the city?s police department, is struck by the storm?s lightning, landing him in a coma for nine months. Upon waking, Barry discovers that he now has supernatural speed. Unfortunately, he isn?t the only one in the city to be changed by the storm. When some of the others affected begin to use their powers for ill, Barry joins with S.T.A.R. labs to become The Flash. He and his friends work to protect the city from those who would do it harm.
