When they find themselves in a seldom-visited rural field, several friends come across a mysterious object. They quickly realize that the object was made by a powerful, distant force, a force that's not of the Earth. The object affords them all manner of out-of-this-world secrets and takes them on a riveting journey, but the tight-knit group of friends must avoid being led down the dark paths that're illuminated by these universal truths. Their knowledge of human nature will be pitted against the object's knowledge of the galaxy.
