The senior resident of Chastain Park Memorial Hospital, Conrad Hawkins, is known for his arrogant and unconventional style of medicine. Dr. Devon Pravesh is a new resident starting his first year and is under the care of Dr. Hawkins. Although Dr. Pravesh has strong ideals and a strong sense of morality when it concerns the medical profession, Dr. Hawkins has another point of view. Under Dr. Hawkins' training, Dr. Pravesh begins to learn that the medical industry isn't as benevolent as he has thought. He has to experience the harsh realities of what the medical profession is really like and what it takes to be successful in it.
