A mother, Laura, and her two young daughters end up in a fight to stay alive while on their annual family vacation at a remote lakehouse. For years, a psychopath names "John" has been present and hidden at each of the family's getaways and even left a children's picture book with a suspicious drawing of the two young girls. With Laura's husband Shawn planning to arrive later, the family remains in a battle for survival as John continues to terrorize them and plot to kill them.
