A young girl named Anna is rescued by a police officer after enduring a lifetime of abuse and brainwashing by her father in his attic. Having great difficulty in reintegrating into society and developing normal relationships, she begins to reveal her father taught her about a creature called "A Wildling" that ate all of the other children. She then subsequently searches for this mysterious creature and the truth about who she really is.
