In London, detectives Cassie Stuart and Sunil "Sunny" Khan work to solve decades old cold cases involving disappearances and murders. Their first case is the murder of a young male student, Jimmy Sullivan, who disappeared in 1976. His bones are discovered the demolition of an abandoned hostel building in North London 39 years later. Stuart and Khan work to narrow down the suspects they find in the boy's diary including a clergyman, a community worker, and an entrepreneur.
