Coco is an aspiring rapper who decides to take a poetry class in order to improve her flow. Her attempts to impress her teacher, Professor Dixon, initially fall flat. However, Professor Dixon understands the emotion that Coco wants and needs to convey. He inspires her to embark on a journey of self-discovery. Along the way, Coco refines her skills by experiencing poetry slams and visiting rap clubs. She also falls in love.
