A new girl, Kat, arrives at a run down high school in a low income neighborhood in a county that had six minors die from drug overdoses last year. One of her classmates, Beaver, asks her out on a date. All seems well, except Kat has a dark secret and Beaver has an even darker one: He's involved with the local drug cook, Wyatt, who uses teenagers as street dealers. While Kat does everything she can to survive this life, she must also try to live up to other responsibilities that no one in her school can ever know exist.
