More than 20,000 years ago when the Earth was experiencing its last great Ice Age, a hunter forms an unlikely alliance with a wolf. Separated from his human companions while they hunted a herd of Steppe bison, the hunter must overcome the elements and the wilderness to return to the human settlement. Along the way, he and his wolf ally begin to form the bond between the human species and the canines we will eventually domesticate.
