The time is World War I, and it seems as if the entire world is losing its innocence. Set against the backdrop of a war that will have no real winners, a sweet American nurse and a Turkish officer find themselves falling in love. Forces outside conspire against them, and the world seems to be spiraling into a state of chaos, but their love only continues to grow stronger.
