A young man named Clarence falls for a woman who barely knows he exists. In a twisted plot to gain her attention and affection, Clarence enlists the help of Patrick, a man known for his skill in manipulating women. The two agree to stage the abduction of Clarence's object of affection, only so he can step in as the rescuing hero. When the scheme doesn't quite go to plan, many mishaps ensue.
