The Hecks are a working family with three kids living in Indiana. They face the daily struggles of life and solve their problems in creative and comical ways. Frankie is the outspoken mom who worked at a car dealership and is now a dental assistant. Mike is the laid-back dad who works in a quarry and serves as the voice of reason in the family. Their kids are uniquely different. Axl is their underachieving, smart mouth oldest son. Sue is their overly optimistic daughter, and Brick is their intelligent youngest son who loves to read but has a few quirks.
