Based on true events, Pablo Escobar built a drug empire starting in Colombia with the help of a whole lot of cocaine. As his cocaine spread across the globe, leading to the emergence of drug cartels and bloody conflict, the United States sent a Drug Enforcement Administration agent named Steve Murphy to bring an end to his empire. Murphy, intent on carrying out his mission, is cleared to not only capture the kingpin, but kill him if needed.
