When hedge fund magnate, Bobby "Axe" Axelrod goes to battle with powerful U.S. attorney Chuck Rhoades, it's clear that New York will never be the same. While they are both ruthless in their own ways, the line between good and evil is continually blurred as their battle of wills escalates. After the FBI opens a case against Axelrod, he must work to undermine the efforts of Rhoades, who has a personal vendetta against what he sees as the embodiment of Wall Street's gross exploitation of the public's trust. As the two try to repeatedly outmaneuver each other, their mistrust deepens.
