A group of medical students are fascinated with the possibilities associated with near-death experiences. They decide that since they have the proximity to people in this precarious state, they will try a series of experiments to induce death and then call the patient back from the brink. It all seems harmless enough to them, but they are playing with other people's lives, and before too long, they begin to see some grim consequences for their cavalier behavior. Will they have the wisdom to stop what they are doing before they go too far?
