Silicon Prairie in Dallas, Texas, is at the center of the early 1980s technical revolution, playing host to big names like IBM, PC, Zerox and Texas Instruments. The big wigs who were working on this technology worked to gradually improve it while charging customers a high price tag for each successive model that went out on the market. Some small timers wanted to get in on this market, too, and these dreamers found revolutionary ways to make their technology stand out from the pack.
