A group of astronauts on an international space station have been given the task of performing a ground-breaking experiment utilizing a special particle accelerator. The experiment does not turn out as anyone had expected or even imagined though: The Earth seems to disappear right before their eyes. Alone and isolated on the station and facing a horrible scenario that they have no idea how to undo, they attempt to find a way back home. After a shuttle appears and docks at the station, the scientists and the rest of the crew then find themselves in a fight for their very survival.
