Penny Dreadful is an original British-American horror series that draws inspiration from the pulp fiction publications of the past. Some of its many predecessors include The Picture of Dorian Grey, Frankenstein, Dracula, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It takes place in Victorian London and follows Sir Malcolm, who has lost his daughter to the dark denizens of the city and will do anything to find her and bring her home.
