Once Upon A Time centers around a young woman named Emma Swan who gave a child up for adoption when she was 18 years old. Ten years later she returns to her home town of Storybrooke Maine where she is reunited with her birth son, Henry. Henry, now living with his cruel adoptive mother, tells Emma stories from his book of fairy tales. He has discovered through his magic book that Emma is the child of Snow White, and that she, along with all the other residents of Storybrooke, has been put under a curse by an evil witch.
