Based loosely on the novel, fans can still expect d'Artagnan to befriend Athos, Aramis and Porthos; however, that's where the similarities end, as the Musketeers will embark on an array of adventures to protect both their king and their country in new stories not previously told by any other medium. Any episode can be watched out of order without confusion, but they all tie together to an overarching plot.
