7.5Casual follows therapist Valerie as she moves in with her younger brother, Alex, with her daughter after her husband leaves her for a younger woman. Determined to get back into the dating game, Valerie enlists the help of her brother. Alex, however, acts as a perpetual bachelor. He co-founded the dating website Snooger, and often cheats the algorithm he created for the site in order to get dates.
Valerie has a tumultuous relationship with her 16-year old daughter Laura, a sexually mature teenager that can act coldly towards her mother. Both Alex and Valerie must deal with the baggage of having parents who were cavalier towards love and relationships while raising Laura and navigating the dating world.
