Cater High follows the true story of the 1988 Carter High School football team. The team overcomes amazing struggles to make it to, and utlimately win, the Texas State Championship. Carter High highlights the personal stories of these players and their families as they go through the year. Their lives both on and off the field are chronicled, as well as the impact of the team's success and failures on the local community.
