The agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are headquartered in New York City, where they work undercover to contain both villains and powerful artifacts to prevent them from threatening the safety of the city. Midway through season one, the agents are separated after being infiltrated by opposing organization HYDRA, and now the agents work to re-establish their base of operations.
