In the 1960s, Chris Stamp and Kit Lambert are both aspiring filmmakers from different worlds. They want to make a movie about the current state of youth and their dissatisfaction with the state of the world. Instead, their luck helps them discover an upcoming band. Intrigued, they decide to mentor and manage the youth. The band eventually evolves into larger than life rock legend The Who, forever changing the face of rock 'n' roll.
