Erlich Bachman sold his business for millions and bought a home where he allowed up-and-coming programmers to live. They can work at their day jobs and spend their off hours working on various outside projects. Richard develops an algorithm that allows large music files to be compressed without the loss of quality. It's revolutionary since files can be streamed to music lovers almost instantly. Two sides immediately start bidding on this breakthrough. One of the bidders is a giant in the industry, but the other offers Richard creative freedom and a share of the profits. Unfortunately, they don't always have the money and a plan in place going forward.
