Orange Is the New Black features an upper class woman that is indicted and arrested for selling and transporting drugs from ten years ago. Since that time the main character, Piper, has changed her life and is no longer doing drugs or involved in that trade. However, to avoid a possible lengthy sentence in a big prison, she decides to plead guilty and must spend 15 months in a local county jail. Throughout the show, she makes friends and enemies while in the jail and must come to grips with her new reality which is much different from where her life was before this happened.
