Zoe Hart is a doctor without a plan. When her dream of becoming a brilliant cardiologist takes a nosedive, she is given the unique opportunity of becoming half owner of a general practitioner practice in a charming Southern town. Some people welcome her, but most are leery of this young Yankee doctor. She must deal with an overbearing mother, her physician partner who wants her to quit the practice, and townsfolk who don't quite know how to take this northern beauty. As Zoe charms her way into the hearts of more people in town, she starts to lose her insecurities and her desire to leave what has become her home.
