A seemingly gentle man who practices the art of taxidermy snaps when his mother is killed. He has a childhood friend who is now a single mother with a young son, and her life is turned topsy-turvy when he gets her involved in his quest for revenge. She does have affection for this old friend of her youth, but she is horrified at the way that their lives have become intertwined. She would like to find a way to help him find peace in the aftermath of his tragic loss, but her first priority is the safety of her son.
