Sam is a young woman whose life was once saved by someone on the other end of a suicide hotline. She had lost her sight and was having a very difficult time coming to grips with living in the dark, and she wanted to end it all, but after calling the hotline, she regained the will to live. Afterward, she decided to pay it forward by working at this hotline, but now she is moving on to another job. She's horrified to discover one of her regular callers is a serial killer who plans to murder her for abandoning him.
