Hannah Horvath is an over-privileged young woman in her early 20s who is used to having her parents bankroll everything she does. One day, she is told that she needs to begin making a life for herself, so she moves into an apartment and tries to navigate the challenges of her desired writing career and the frustrations of friendships and romantic relationships. Her friends have challenges of their own, and they help each other as best they can, though they often cause each other stress as well. Together, though, they will learn how to ride the rocky transition into adulthood.
