7.1The Penn State University football program was shocked beyond all comprehension when the crimes of former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky were revealed. As the scandal unfolded, several people in the Penn State administration were caught up in it for their part in what happened, and some people were chastised for what they did not do to stop it. Life at Happy Valley has not been the same since the Jerry Sandusky scandal and it may never be the same again. With the downfall of iconic former head coach Joe Paterno, there is still a great deal of healing that needs to go on in Happy Valley.
