Grindelwald escapes custody and begins to gather a group of followers, many of whom are unaware of his true goal to raise witches and wizards so they may become rulers over all the non-magical creatures of the world. In order to thwart Grindelwald's efforts, Albus Dumbledor calls on Newt Scamander, once a student of his, to aid in the mission, unaware of the dangers that will unfold as the wizarding world is dramatically divided.
