In a small North Dakota town, the citizens are troubled by the unexpected arrival of many vagrants who have wandered in with scarcely more than the clothes on their backs. Most townspeople are frightened about what their appearance means for the town, but the local pastor has a different way of looking at things. He is determined to love these outsiders just as Jesus would, not matter how inconvenient it may be for him. Through his determination, he is able to truly help these disenfranchised individuals, but it may come at the cost of being ostracized by his own parishioners.
