Kelly yearns for to go back to her former life as a punk rocker ?riot girl,? but she cannot return to it. Kelly is a just a plain old mom in the suburbs now and is uncertain of her future, because she doesn?t feel like she truly fits into this world. Kelly meets her seventeen year old neighbor named Cal. Cal is frustrated by his lack of control over his life. The pair strikes up an unlikely friendship that proves to be the perfect spark for them to grab life by the horns and break out of their funk.
