We Are The Best! is the story of three misfit girls who find solace in each other as they come together to form a punk band. Despite their passion, it is not an easy quest for three young girls in Stockholm during the 1980s. In addition to not having any instruments, few people respect their efforts since girls are not expected to form performing groups during this time. Although everyone insists that punk is dead, Bobo, Klara, and Hedvig are determined to overcome their adversities and claim a bit of glory for themselves. Their journey is not only musical but personal as they endeavor not just to form a band but to carve a place for themselves in the world.
