Inspired by the 1980s film of the same name, Scott McCall is perfectly ordinary in this high school story, until one night when he's bitten by what he thinks is a large dog. As Scott's senses become sharper, his reflexes quicker, and his instincts more animalistic, he realizes that it wasn't an ordinary dog that bit him - likely not even a dog at all. While Scott uses his new transformation to help him out on the lacrosse field, he navigates the difficult waters of high school with his best friend, the sarcastic and loyal Stiles. He also experiences first love in the form of Allison Argent, though there's more to her family than meets the eye. Through it all, he and his new ally Derek Hale take on the supernatural threats that come to their hometown of Beacon Hill.
