In this American sitcom about a dysfunctional but loving family, Christy is a down on her luck single mom battling alcoholism. Fearing her 17-year-old daughter, Violet, may be following the same party-hard path to early motherhood that she experienced, Christy decides to try to pull her life together by working as a waitress in the wine country of Napa Valley. While attending a local Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, she runs into her mother, Bonnie, who became pregnant with her as a teenager and also battles drug and booze addictions. Together, the three generations of women work on their mother-daughter relationships and try to end their family's penchant for self-destruction.
