Believing that the Apocalypse is near, a modern-day religious cult, located in the backwoods of Kentucky, gathers around their dying self-proclaimed prophet. Refusing medical intervention, the critically ill leader prepares to name his successor as all stand around in anxious anticipation for the news. The prophet's son, Eamon, fully expects to step into his father's shoes when the announcement brings unexpected results. The leader has instead chosen newly welcomed member David to lead the flock. Tension rises among members as David offers insight into the myriad of events that spell impending world doom. Fighting self-doubt, he must now take the group along their intended path until the end comes. With their lives seemingly dependent on a new leader, each cult member must decide the truth for themselves. The group is called upon to make some necessary sacrifices and each must weigh the costs.
