Brooklyn Nine Nine is an ensemble action comedy that follows an eclectic team of detectives and their newly appointed captain. Set in the fictional 99th Police Precinct, Jake Peralta is a talented and carefree detective who competes for recognition with Police Academy classmate Amy Santiago, the precinct?s other star detective. The diverse team also includes the socially awkward Charles Boyle, the rough-around-the-edges Rosa Diaz, who Boyle has a crush on, and Gina Linetti, the spacey office administrator. Trying to stay on top of this unruly and disruptive cast of characters is the high-strung Sergeant Terry Jeffords and the recently appointed commanding officer Captain Ray Holt, a straight-laced no nonsense individual who often finds himself at odds with Peralta?s class clown antics.
