Charlotte has a sister who has unexpectedly disappeared in the mountains. She seeks the help from an ex-marine, Wayne, in finding her sister. During Charlotte and Wayne's search for her missing sister, they come across an unconventional church and Billy, a snake-handling pastor. This pastor is devoted to his congregation of misfits who risk death in hopes of seeking salvation. During Charlotte and Wayne's search on the mountain, they realize unpleasant things about themselves and their religious beliefs that terrify them. As this mystery of her sister's disappearance starts to become clear, her fate may be changed in ways no one could imagine.
